About Us

Kevin has a love of food and cooking that extends
all the way back to his roots in Pennsylvania
Dutch country. After working as a steakhouse
chef and line cook, he chose the technical part of
the food business as a career. After a degree in
Food Science from Penn State, Kevin worked for
several food companies over the past 15 years,
including McCormick and Keebler. Kevin is now
devoting his time to what he really loves: cooking
for others. Kevin is a past member of the
American Personal Chef Association and a
former professional member of the Institute of
Food Technologists. Dakota Catering Company
is a lifetime member of Leading Caterers of
America and a member of the Oakland Park and
Wilton Manors Chamber of Commerce.

Having grown up in an Italian/Jewish neighborhood in New
York City, Todd Henry has a natural love and appreciation of
good food and great cooking. He honed the skills he learned
there by cooking for friends and throwing great parties at
home in New Jersey over the years. Here in south Florida,
he's also devoting more time to cooking for others and helping
them create memorable parties and events. Todd also
coordinates events on site, ensuring you and your guests are
well accommodated. In addition to working with Dakota, Todd
is also a planning projects manager in Coconut Creek,
Florida. He works extensively with National Wildlife Federation
and Broward County on environmental and wildlife habitat
projects in the city.

It's with great sadness that we announce the loss of our dear
companion and friend, Cody. She had trouble walking for the
past year and gave up that fight in early May, 2007. Her
memory and her faithful companionship will never be
forgotten. She will be greatly missed. Cody, we will love you
forever and feel honored to have known you. We gave you our
love and friendship and in return you gave us bonus years with
you...good dog.

Well, what can we say about our smallest family member?
He's cute, he's fast, he's smart, and he's completely crazy!
He's definitely a cool cat who loves people and darts around
all day, infectiously entertaining anyone he meets. He couldn't
care less about food, as long as he gets some.

Here he is, our newest family member...Fargo! If there's one
thing you can say about Fargo, it's that he leaves an
impression. It may be made by his very large, very white
teeth, but an impression nonetheless. He's a total ham for
the camera and has one mode...PLAY!! He's all border collie,
and a very big, very smooth one at that, and he's also all boy!
Since Fargo is such a big boy, he has very strong opinions
about his food too...he wants some and he wants it now!
